GDPR & Data Privacy

HyperBabel is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our developer customers in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable data protection laws.

HyperBabel's customers are developers and organizations, not end-consumers. However, when developers use HyperBabel APIs to build apps, metadata about their integration (usage, API keys, subscriptions) is processed by HyperBabel and is therefore subject to GDPR.

⚡ Sensitive fields (password hashes, Paddle customer IDs) are never included in data exports.

3. Your Rights (GDPR Art. 15–22)

  • Right of Access — Request a copy of all data we hold about your organization.
  • Right to Erasure ("Right to be forgotten") — Request deletion of your account or a specific end user's data.
  • Right to Portability — Export your organization's data in machine-readable JSON format.
  • Right to Rectification — Update inaccurate account information from your Profile page.
  • Right to Object — Contact us to object to specific processing activities.

4. How to Request Deletion or Export

Via the Developer Console (recommended)

  1. Log in at console.hyperbabel.com
  2. Go to Dashboard → GDPR / Data
  3. Use Data Export tab to request a JSON export of your data
  4. Use User Data Deletion tab to request deletion by sender_id

A 30-day grace period applies to all deletion requests. You may cancel within this window.

5. Data Transfers

HyperBabel operates on globally distributed cloud infrastructure with multi-region data centers. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards.

6. Data Processor vs. Controller

HyperBabel acts as a Data Controller for account and billing data. For message content sent through our APIs on your behalf, HyperBabel acts as a Data Processor, and you (the developer) are the Controller responsible for obtaining consent from your end users.
